Who We Are

Edward is the Associate Publisher of World Almanac Books, and is the Editor in Chief of the World Almanac E-Newsletter. His career in reference publishing with the company began at Funk & Wagnalls in 1983. He is the photo researcher on all World Almanac titles and directs the manufacturing (printing & binding) of the books. Ed's the man to go to for information about presidents, first ladies, and dead celebrities.

Alan is the Editorial Director of The World Almanac and Book of Facts and other World Almanac Education Group titles. Alan was previously a freelance writer and editor, with years of experience in reference publishing--and a lifelong addiction to reference books of all kinds. He served as Executive Editor of The New York Times Almanac and the first edition of The New York Times Guide to Essential Knowledge.

Andrew is an Associate Editor for The World Almanac and Book of Facts and other World Almanac titles. He primarily covers politics, new records, notable feats, and the undeniably peculiar (i.e. more politics). Andrew also served as Chief Researcher for the first edition of The World Almanac Book of Records.

M. L. is an Associate Editor for The World Almanac and Book of Facts. Her areas of focus include buildings and bridges, crime, disasters, language, nations, and population statistics.
